Schroon Lake is seeing more and more high powered boats along with wake surfing. These waking events can cause harm to our shores and wildlife habitat, as well as boat and dock damage. The safety of children, swimmers and small watercraft are also at risk. While we don't want to take away anyone's fun, we do ask your help in being "A Good Schroon Lake Neighbor!" Stay clear of swimmers, SUPs, and all small crafts. Use slow speeds near shore. And wake surf only in the areas designated on the below map (~1/3 of the center of the lake).
