ESSLA held its annual Welcome Back Dinner on 6/7/23 at the Lodge on Echo Lake. It was a fun kick-off to the summer season and chance for guests to gather and reconnect after the winter. John Hagmann, director of the Helpers Fund, provided everyone with an overview of how this local non-profit provides financial assistance to individuals and families in the Tri-Lakes area of Warren and southern Essex Counties.
Other special guests included Mike Geraci, Horicon’s Town Manager and Bob Bombard, a water resource specialist with Warren Country Soil and Water. Bob is one of the divers that does a swim over after each S.L. invasive harvest to inspect the job. Ethan and Allison Gaddy were also in attendance. Ethan, an Assistant County Planner with the Warren County Planning Department, has been instrumental in our invasive harvest and obtaining grants to fund the stewards at the Horicon boat launch. Allison is Senior Planner with the Lake Champlain-Lake George Regional Planning Board and a member of the Upper Hudson Watershed Revitalization Planning group of the Schroon Lake Steering Committee.
We are so grateful to all those that attended and have helped to support ESSLA!
